The Göran Bredinger Scholarship
The Göran Bredinger Scholarship recognizes young social entrepreneurs who develop innovative solutions to societal challenges. The grant is worth 50,000 Swedish kronor and is awarded annually in collaboration between Forum for Social Innovation Sweden and Göran Bredinger. The initiative aims to strengthen social innovations with the potential to create social value and long-term sustainability. This year’s application period runs from May 27 to September 30.
The Göran Bredinger Scholarship
Many social entrepreneurs develop innovative solutions to pressing social problems, but often face obstacles in the early stages—such as a lack of capital, visibility, and strategic support. The Göran Bredinger Scholarship was established to address this need by providing both financial resources and recognition to young entrepreneurs driven by social impact and sustainable development.
Through collaboration between the business community and academia, the grant helps create the conditions necessary for promising social innovations to grow, spread, and contribute to a more inclusive society.
Forum for Social Innovation Sweden is responsible for coordinating the scholarship, communication, the call for applications, and the processing of applications. A jury reviews all applications and selects the scholarship recipient annually based on established criteria.
The 2026 application period runs from May 27 to September 30.
