What personal information do we collect?  

Website
Information about how you use our websites, with the aim of improving their user-friendliness, for example through the use of cookies. 

Events
Personal data collected when participating in events, such as conferences, workshops, and webinars. The majority of our events are managed through the registration service Confetti. 

Newsletter
When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect personal data in the form of your name and email address. We use our service provider APSIS to send out our newsletters. In connection with this, your email address is transferred to APSIS, which processes the data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions as a data processor. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time via an unsubscribe link included in every email. 

How is your personal information protected? 

Forum for Social Innovation Sweden ensure that the processing of personal data is protected by appropriate technical and organizational measures. These measures shall be such that they ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk associated with the processing. Security aspects shall include confidentiality, integrity, and availability, as well as adequate technical protection. This may involve, for example, ensuring that only authorized persons have access to the data, that the data is encrypted, that it is stored in specially protected areas, and that backups of the data are made.  

Purpose of the processing of personal data 

Forum for Social Innovation Sweden personal data for the following purposes: 

  • manage and organize events 
  • send newsletters and other relevant information 
  • improve the functionality and user experience on our websites 
  • communicate with participants, subscribers, and stakeholders 

Legal basis 

The processing of personal data is based on: 

  • consent (e.g., when subscribing to a newsletter) 
  • agreement (e.g., when registering for an event) 
  • legitimate interest (e.g., to improve the website's functionality) 

How long is the data retained? 

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as required by law. Data related to newsletters is retained until you choose to unsubscribe. 

Recipients of personal data 

Personal data may be shared with vendors that process data on MSI’s behalf, such as: 

  • APSIS (for sending out newsletters) 
  • Confetti (for managing event registrations) 

These suppliers act as data processors and process the data in accordance with MSI’s instructions. 

Your rights 

You have the right to: 

  • get information about what personal data we process about you 
  • request the correction of inaccurate information 
  • request the deletion of your data 
  • object to or restrict the processing of your data 
  • access your data in a structured format (data portability) 

You also have the right to file a complaint withthe Swedish Data Protection Authority (IMY)
