To promote social entrepreneurship, more knowledge is needed about the conditions for running social enterprises in Sweden and Europe. That is why Sweden, through Forum for Social Innovation Sweden andForum for Social Innovation Sweden partners, is participating in the European Social Enterprise Monitor (ESEM)—the first European survey of its kind to focus on social enterprises. The report provides a snapshot of how 110 Swedish social enterprises view themselves, their operations, social entrepreneurship, and support for social entrepreneurs, as well as the obstacles and opportunities for social entrepreneurship in Sweden.
In this round of research, Forum for Social Innovation Sweden has Forum for Social Innovation Sweden with a number of organizations: Ashoka Nordic, several regional Coompanion offices (Coompanion Blekinge, Coompanion Gothenburg Region, Coompanion Halland, Coompanion Jönköping County, Coompanion Kronoberg, Coompanion Norrbotten, Coompanion Sjuhärad, and Coompanion Skåne), Effektfullt, Fremia, Mikrofonden, NÄTVERKET – Idéburen sektor Skåne, the Partnership for Social Innovation in Örebro County, Reach for Change, Social Entrepreneurship Sweden, and Skoopi.
