Forum for Social Innovation Sweden received a grant of 100,000 SEK for the project “100 Social Innovations” from the Sten K. Johnson Foundation. The grant will fund the production of the book “100 Social Innovations That Can Change Sweden.”
The goal of the “100 Social Innovations” project is to compile, design, and publish an educational publication titled “100 Social Innovations,” written in a popular science style and aimed at a broad audience in society.Forum for Social Innovation Sweden Malmö University is building a knowledge base and collecting data on the status of social innovations in Sweden.
Innovative Value
There is currently no popular publication that compiles social innovations in Sweden and places developments in this field within a broader context. There is a lack of a comprehensive overview of how social innovators and entrepreneurs are a vital part of the solution to our major societal challenges.
Raising the level of knowledge regarding social innovation and social entrepreneurship across all sectors, while fostering greater awareness and a deeper understanding of these fields’ potential and societal benefits, is of great value. Forum for Social Innovation Sweden also Forum for Social Innovation Sweden that this approach facilitates meetings between entrepreneurs/innovators and key stakeholders in society. Increased knowledge is one of the prerequisites for the development and dissemination of more social innovations. This publication is intended to serve as a source of inspiration and a basis for decision-making for politicians and policymakers.
“The grant gives us a fantastic opportunity to further spread awareness of social innovations, highlight best practices, and share the stories of the people behind these innovations,” says Anna Landeborg, project manager at Forum for Social Innovation Sweden.
The Sten K Johnson Foundation is aimed at individuals, organizations, and companies (with ties to Skåne) that have the vision and drive to develop projects in the fields of education, culture, medicine, technology, entrepreneurship, literature, and music.
In the spirit of Sten K Johnson, the foundation will support cross-border initiatives and innovative individuals who dare to venture into uncharted territory to forge new paths forward.
