The report *Financing Social Innovation: An Overview* (2024) provides an overview of various ways to finance the development of social innovations—that is, new methods, services, initiatives, and the like—whose primary purpose is to address societal challenges and improve people’s living conditions through innovative social practices, relationships, or structures.
This report was produced within the framework of Sweden’s National Competence Centre for Social Innovation under the European Social Fund (ESF).The Competence Centeraims to contribute to the development of effective, sustainable, and value-creating social innovations within the ESF by providing knowledge, tools, coaching, and opportunities for the exchange of experiences to ESF-funded projects, the Swedish ESF Council, and other relevant societal actors. The Competence Center is operated by Forum for Social Innovation Swedenonbehalf of the ESF Council, in collaboration with the National Network for Coordination Associations and the Partnership for Social Innovations in Örebro County.
