Forum for Social Innovation Sweden researchers and doctoral students to a series of academic seminars on social innovation on August 25.
The purpose of this seminar series is to strengthen the academic community by presenting and discussing current research on innovative ways to address societal challenges. Interested researchers and doctoral students from all disciplines and institutions are welcome to attend.
On Monday, August 25, Lucas Haskell will present his dissertation titled “
Social Innovation and Environmental Sustainability: The Need for Strong, Sustainable Social Innovations”. In his dissertation, he examined the potential of social innovations to solve environmental problems. The aim of the study is to increase understanding of how these innovations can change social practices and thereby create more sustainable routines. From a strong sustainability perspective, Lucas concludes that solving environmental problems is crucial to reducing our negative impact on the environment. The presentation will be followed by a group discussion moderated by Maria Wolmesjö.
