We’d love to invite you to a meeting where we can explore together how to foster social innovation in practice. The focus will be on how we turn ideas into reality—and on learning from one another.

Many of us, across various sectors and roles, are already working with social innovation. At this juncture, we want to focus on what happens in our day-to-day work:How do we actually go about it? What works—and what’s challenging?

Two key topics for the meeting

During the meeting, we will focus on two key areas:

How do we build local ecosystems for social innovation?

We know that collaboration is essential to the success of social innovation. Three key building blocks are often highlighted:

  • a stable coordinating role
  • an interesting range of activities
  • a sustainable financing model

But what does this look like in practice? How do we build and sustain collaboration over time? What choices do we need to make—and what have we learned along the way? How can the public sector, the business community, academia, and civil society work together to create structures that make it easier for social innovators to grow and contribute to sustainable social development?

Social Innovation Policy

Policy can create favorable long-term conditions for social innovation—but how does this work in practice? How do we link day-to-day development work with policy development? How do we engage key stakeholders in the policy-making process? And how do different stakeholders and levels of government work together to make a real difference?

Learning Together

Using inspiring examples, we facilitate a broad and open-minded discussion. The participants’ own experiences, perspectives, and questions take center stage and shape much of the content.

This event is aimed at those who work with or wish to develop social innovation in practice—whether in the public sector, the business community, academia, or civil society. You may be a strategist, developer, project manager, or operations manager, and have experience with collaboration, innovation work, or systemic change. Above all, the event is aimed at those who want to share experiences, learn from others, and help strengthen the conditions for social innovation locally and regionally.

Welcome!
