The Samskapa Malmö network is a resource for anyone interested in exploring or developing more inclusive and collaborative approaches. The goal of this new initiative is to work together to step up our efforts to promote sustainability, equity, and inclusion in Malmö. The first meeting in March generated a great deal of interest, and we are now inviting you to the next meeting, themed “Together for Local Development.”
The event is organized in collaboration with Malmö City’s Leisure Administration, which was recently tasked with coordinating the municipality’s efforts in local development. The purpose of this initiative is to help Malmö City better understand and address local needs, promote grassroots democracy, and coordinate efforts in line with the 2030 Agenda to improve economic, social, and environmental conditions. Malmö has a strong tradition of public actors and associations working closely and collaboratively with the city’s residents. There are many inspiring examples here of how commitment, administrative responsibilities, and a drive to take action can be combined.
Welcome to all of you who are committed to local development work in Malmö—whether you represent the municipality, community organizations, the business sector, social movements, or are participating as a concerned citizen. Welcome also to those of you who aren’t yet very active but are curious about how you can contribute more! Together, we will:
-
Be inspired by concrete examples of local solutions to social challenges
-
Learning together how to step up our local development efforts
-
Contribute to the city's local development strategy
-
Build valuable connections for future collaborations
