Would you like support for your work on social innovation in an ESF project? Would you like to develop your project idea to make it even more socially innovative? You are warmly invited to this digital learning session, which is aimed at both those of you who have already been granted funding through the Swedish ESF Council’s calls for proposals in Program Area E, and those of you who are considering applying or are currently drafting your application for funding under the call Socially Innovative Funds and Goals to Address Societal Challenges.

The lesson consists of two parts:

  1. In the first part, Sweden’s National Competence Centre for Social Innovation the ESF will give a brief presentation on the social innovation process—covering everything from how and with whom a societal challenge is identified to the development of a vision for the future and the testing of different paths toward that future. In other words, how social innovation can be incorporated into one’s project so that it promotes both social goals and social means.
  2. The second part is an in-depth exploration of the social innovation process based on an exchange of experiences and discussions among the participants. For example, it will cover how you can define the problem, propose solutions, and identify relevant partners to work in a socially innovative way.

The session is led by Sweden’s National Competence Centre for Social Innovation the ESF and is based on the center’s methodological materials for social innovation. Since the session is highly interactive, we recommend that you use your own computer equipped with a camera and microphone.

Time:10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Location: Onlinevia Zoom; a link will be sent in the confirmation email.

Preparation: Beforethe meeting, we encourage you to take a look at the Competence Center’s resource materials on social innovation, which are availablehere.
