Coalition Handbook Launch

Would you like to gain new perspectives on complex societal challenges? Are you interested in connecting with stakeholders outside your own organization and sector to collaboratively develop innovative solutions to societal challenges, but aren’t quite sure how?

Welcome to the launch of “ Forum for Social Innovation Sweden's ” (Coalition for Social Innovation), a new handbook on the coalition method—a practical guide for those who want to work in a more structured way with cross-sectoral co-creation for social innovation. The handbook compiles the experiences of Forum for Social Innovation Sweden from eight completed coalitions. It demonstrates how the method can be used to bring together stakeholders from academia, the public sector, civil society, and the business community to understand complex societal challenges and take steps toward collective action.

During the launch, we will describe the coalition approach, explain what the meeting and process methods entail, and outline when and how they can be used. We will provide concrete examples and demonstrate what a coalition can achieve. Together with others, you will have the opportunity to reflect on possibilities for cross-disciplinary co-creation with other professions and occupational groups—and, not least, with the relevant target groups.
