Innovative approaches to addressing societal challenges through collaborative research

For the second time Forum for Social Innovation Sweden Forum for Social Innovation Sweden Forum for Social Innovation Sweden is organizing a national research conference that brings together researchers and other societal actors to share insights on innovative ways to address societal challenges in welfare, health, the workplace, and other relevant areas. This time, the conference focuses on co-creation research, where researchers and other societal actors jointly develop new knowledge and initiatives to address current societal challenges. The actors involved can be individual residents, service users, staff, and others, or organizations from civil society, the business sector, and the public sector. The conference theme is highly relevant, as collaboration between academia and the surrounding society is called for in both Swedish and European research policy to address current societal challenges and enhance the quality, relevance, and impact of research. At the same time, there are several challenges in co-created research that are urgent to discuss and address, such as research freedom, the division of roles between researchers and other societal actors, the inclusion of vulnerable groups, and the time and resources needed for meaningful collaboration. Participation in the conference is free of charge, thanks to funding from the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte). Both researchers and other societal actors are welcome to attend the conference, which will be conducted in Swedish. Date and location: November 18, Stockholm A warm welcome!

Abstracts

The conference welcomes abstracts that present research related to the conference theme. Submissions may have a practical or theoretical focus and may adopt either critical or promotional perspectives. Abstracts may be co-authored by researchers and other stakeholders. They may be written and presented in Swedish or English. Accepted abstracts may be presented orally or as posters. Read the instructions and submit your abstract here no later than Friday, August 29.
