Where are the opportunities for social innovation in Sweden’s policy landscape?

Forum for Social Innovation Sweden Forum for Social Innovation SwedenForum for Social Innovation Sweden invites you to a report presentation followed by a discussion on political trends and processes that influence the policy framework for social innovation in Sweden. Social innovation refers to the development of innovative solutions to societal challenges, using social objectives and means. There are well-known examples of a lack of political support for social innovation today, such as the absence of a national strategy for social innovation and the absence of an action plan for the social economy in Sweden. But—are there other opportunities for social innovation in policy areas such as innovation, growth, welfare, civil society, and research? To explore this, Forum for Social Innovation Sweden Ramboll to map Forum for Social Innovation Sweden political trends and processes that could create opportunities for the development and support of social innovation. We invite you to attend a presentation of the findings and join the conversation on how we can work toward stronger policy support moving forward. Through the Competence Center, Forum for Social Innovation Sweden contributes Forum for Social Innovation Sweden knowledge exchange, analysis, and methodology development for ESF projects, the ESF Council, and other relevant societal actors. The initiative is part of the European Commission’s effort to promote social innovation in member states, through dedicated program funds as well as national competence centers in each member state.
