This year’s Inclusive Business Forum marks the launch of the Inclusive Business Co-creation Accelerator – a 3-year programme dedicated towards co-creating and scaling inclusive business models with the base of the pyramid – the 4.5 billion individuals living on under $8 a day.

This programme, based on the Inclusive Business Agenda, seeks to work towards global ambitions in the areas of agriculture and forestry, healthcare, energy, water and sanitation, ICT, and textiles and clothing. The forum will focus on building alliances and a community that can work together towards these ambitions for mutual benefit.

Our vision is that by 2020, Swedish business is playing a leading role in addressing the global challenges of poverty – enhancing agricultural productivity, enabling access to energy, water, sanitation, healthcare and communications, improving environmental sustainability, and creating jobs both at home and abroad. This is all being done profitably – and you can be part of it!

During the second part of the event, you will be invited to take part in engaging sector-based discussions and working sessions focusing on co-creation. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are thrilled to introduce our two keynote speakers: Hans Rosling and Iqbal Z. Quadir.

Hans Rosling is Professor of International Health at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, and the co-founder of the Gapminder Foundation. Using animations of global trends, Hans Rosling lectures about past and contemporary economic, social and environmental changes in the world and he produces thematic videos using the same technique. His award-winning lectures on global trends have been labeled “humorous, yet deadly serious” and many in the audience realize their own world view is lagging many decades.

Iqbal Z. Quadir is Professor of the Practice of Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT in Boston. He is a long-time champion of the critical role of entrepreneurship and innovations in creating prosperity in low-income countries. Iqbal established Gonofone Development Corp and assembled a global consortium with micro-credit pioneer Grameen Bank of Bangladesh, and Telenor to create Grameenphone. Grameenphone is now Bangladesh’s leading telecommunications operator providing access to over 50 million subscribers irrespective of the geographic location or economic standing.
