Design + Policy = Conversation on the New European Bauhaus

Beautiful, sustainable, together. Those are the keywords for the New European Bauhaus, a creative and interdisciplinary initiative launched by the European Commission at the beginning of 2020. It connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces and experiences and calls on all Europeans to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful for our eyes, minds, and souls. What does this and other similar initiative by policy-makers mean to us in Sweden? How can we understand and make use of it? In this conversation we discuss what the initiative is really about and what significance it has for designers, decision-makers and researchers dedicated to issues of social innovation and sustainability. This seminar is a part of the design festival Southern Sweden Design Days.
