Forum for Social Innovation Sweden is a national knowledge and collaboration platform for social innovation. We actively follow what is happening in the field, in Sweden and internationally, and ensure that knowledge and experiences are developed, shared and utilised. Through research-based knowledge and cross-sectoral collaboration, we work to strengthen social innovation as a social force.

This report presents a mapping of Swedish and international examples of regional collaboration on societal challenges. The aim is to gather and disseminate knowledge and experience as inspiration for further development of support structures for social innovation.

While EU has prioritised social innovation through several policy, Sweden seems to be lagging behind in strategic policy efforts.
In this session, key actors in Sweden and the EU discuss the challenges and potential in better supporting the multitude of social innovators and entrepreneurs, who keep on striving to achieve the global sustainability goals of the 2030 Agenda.
What is social innovation?
Social innovation and social entrepreneurship are initiatives aimed to improve what is missing or not working in the social structure: new solutions, methods and ideas that create a sustainable society – economically, socially and ecologically.
